Huge 'Mario Kart'-inspired racetrack to open in Niagara Falls (photos)                             Your video game dreams are coming true: A "Mario Kart"-inspired racetrack is coming to Niagara Falls.

Narcity reports HOCO  Limited, a privately-held tourism and resorts company, is building  a huge, multi-level go-kart racetrack in Clifton Hill, an entertainment  strip on the Canada side of the Falls. The project, named "Niagara  Speedway," will aim to drive tourism as the largest of its kind in North  America.

"It's like go-carts on steroids!" Clifton Hill's official website says.

The track will be inspired by Mario Kart, Nintendo's popular video  game franchise that began in 1992 with "Super Mario Kart." Gamers can  go-kart race as classic characters like Mario, Luigi, Toadstool, Yoshi,  Princess Peach, Bowser and Donkey Kong, while picking up weapons and  using special powers.

Elite Daily reports construction is expected to be completed this fall, with  testing beginning in October. All the attractions will be open to the  public by spring 2018.

The  question is: Will your opponents be Bowser, Yoshi, Princess Peach,  Toadstool or Luigi and Mario? Which Nintendo character is your favorite?
