A New York man working as a drug counselor at a rehab facility was arrested last week for being, like, really bad at his job.
54-year-old Alvin Lewis was caught selling crack cocaine on "multiple occasions" to undercover agents. Lewis had been working as an overnight drug counselor at an in-patient rehab clinic in Upstate New York. Cops began investigating him after receiving some tips from the public and determined he was a "narcotic and dangerous drug dealer."
They also checked with the state's Office of Addiction Services and Supports and found no record of him being credentialed to work as a counselor. A search of his home and vehicle turned up packages of crack ready to be sold. He was arrested and hit with felony narcotics charges. (The Smoking Gun)
