Due to a violation, the TCEQ has ordered the city of Port Arthur to issue a boil water notice. It is related to turbidity limits, which has no health effects, but can interfere with disinfection and can provide a medium for microbial growth. Citizens in Port Arhtur are asked to boil water for at least two minutes prior to consumption.
