A man who tried to stop a robbery in the parking lot of a northeast Portland Fred Meyer store was fatally shot by the suspect.
Monday afternoon, Portland Police responded to the shooting.
They found 47-year-old Jonathon Trent down in the parking lot. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
Investigators say he tried to stopped a robbery suspect and was shot.
Police have not made an arrest and they have not released information about a suspect.
