Harrisburg Mayor Calls For Harsher Sentences After Recent Homicides
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams is calling for harsher sentences for violent crimes after three recent homicides in the city. Williams told reporters yesterday that "drastic measures" must be taken to keep dangerous criminals behind bars. The mayor said repeat offenders are being arrested and let back out again. Williams made the comments after meeting with judges at the Dauphin County Courthouse on the issue.
