With temperatures expected to fall today and highs projected in the mid and upper teens in the coming days, the City of Akron is expanding the hours at the Summit Lake Community Center.
The community center on West Crosier Street will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Wednesday as it serves as a warming center for those needing shelter from the cold.
Normal operating hours will be maintained at the city's other community centers.
