A 16-year-old is in critical condition for what investigators are calling a "freak accident" shooting at a home in Channelview.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the accidental shooting happened Friday in the 800 block of Donfield Street. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, three teenagers were in a room playing video games when one of them, a 15-year-old, unintentionally fired a gun. Another teenager was struck in the head and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Authorities say there was an airsoft gun and a real gun in the room. They are trying to figure out where the real gun came from.
