How much does it matter to you that your significant other makes more or less money than you? A recent study out of Sweden took a look at income, mental health, and how they relate to heterosexual couples. One notable result that came from the study is how an increase in a woman’s income can affect the mental health of both partners. As her income increased, so did her risk of mental health issues. For men, however, the risk of mental health problems increased even higher. Fortunately, there’s more money coming in, so the odds are better that they both can afford some form of counseling.
