Megan Thee Stallion Admits She Fears Tory Lanez Will Shoot Her Again

On January 9, Megan Thee Stallion testified emotionally in Los Angeles County Superior Court about her fear for her safety since Tory Lanez shot her in 2020. She shared her concerns via video from her home in Florida, saying, "I haven’t been at peace since I’ve been shot, and I’m just tired of being harassed." She expressed a deep worry that Lanez could shoot her again, fearing that next time she might not survive. Megan revealed she has not been attending therapy lately because she feels "hopeless" about her situation. She mentioned that despite encouragement to move on, it feels like she relives the trauma every day. "The person who shot me won’t let me forget it. I barely leave my house," she added, explaining she only goes out for work when necessary. Before the incident, she did not struggle with anxiety, but now she feels like "a nervous wreck all the time." Megan worries that things could worsen when Lanez is released from prison, where he is currently serving a 10-year sentence and is eligible for parole in September 2029.

She stated, "Even from behind bars, he's still showing that he's an angry person, and I'm scared that when he gets out, he will still be upset with me." Megan expressed concern about living in fear, feeling he will not allow her to have peace. Fortunately, she was granted a five-year restraining order against Lanez, preventing him from being within 100 yards of her or contacting her.
