Tina Tice, a 64-year-old woman from Syracuse, New York, has died from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run incident on December 29, 2024. Tice was crossing James Street near North State Street when she was struck by a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Marquise Williams. She was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries on Monday (January 6).
The driver, Marquise Williams, was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, driving while intoxicated, and second-degree vehicular assault. He was released after being issued an appearance ticket. The Syracuse Police Department continues to investigate the incident and urges anyone with additional information to contact their Traffic Division.
According to CNY Central, Tice was not crossing at an intersection when she was hit. The police are still gathering details about the circumstances of the crash.
