Losing weight is always a popular New Year’s resolution, and according to a new survey, nearly half of U.S. adults plan to start a new diet this year. Of course, some are more effective than others for helping people shed pounds and “U.S. News & World Report” is highlighting the top options.
- Their 2025 Best Diets list has just come out, based on rankings from health experts and nutrition professionals of 38 diets in 21 categories.

- The Mediterranean Diet leads the list once again, as it’s been named the healthiest way to eat for the eighth consecutive year. It wins the top spot in 12 of 21 categories, including Best Diet Overall.
