In December, a poll from Sienna college came out that said only 33% of voters in New York would vote to re-elect Kathy Hochul for governor. Despite the low numbers, she will not be up for re-election for two more years, which will give her plenty of time to gain favor back and put her mistakes behind her enough to win back voters. Former Westchester County executive and WOR host Rob Astorino spoke with the WOR Morning Show about Hochul and how she may be viewed when its time to vote.
“In this state [NY] there are people who will vote their party, the Democratic party, no matter what and that’s scary because she so bad, so incompetent,” Astorino tells host Larry Mendte. “She has no political skills whatsoever; she has no governmental skills either.”
Astorino believes that despite her failures it would be tough to defeat a Democratic governor: “She’s the incumbent Democrat in a very blue state so [the] benefit of the doubt goes to her party, and that goes to her.”
