LIVONIA, Mich. -- As of January 1, Trinity Health is no longer included in Humana's network. That is the result of an impasse in contract negotiations.
Trinity says this impacts patients who are covered by a Humana Medicare Advantage plan for the 2025 benefit year. In an online statement, Trinity Health says, "Humana has made it increasingly difficult for us to invest in the medical innovations, technologies, and programs patients rely on by delaying patient care or refusing to pay for care altogether."
Meanwhile, Humana says on its website that it is trying to keep quality healthcare accessible and affordable but Trinity Health is, "Making significant financial demands that will drive up patient costs."
