One of nearly 100 bills sent to Governor Maura Healey following passage by the Legislature early yesterday morning would allow cities and towns to install automated traffic enforcement cameras on school buses.
The cameras take photos and videos of vehicles that may break the law by passing a stopped school bus.
Local police would review the evidence and decide if a fine should be issued.
It is unclear how many Massachusetts communities will take advantage of the new law.
