Harwich Officials Warn The Public About Potentially Toxic Algae Bloom

The Town of Harwich has issued an advisory after a potentially toxic algae bloom was observed in Hinckley Pond.

Officials say for safety reasons, people and pets should not swim, recreate, or drink water in areas with visible algae or scum.

The Town says it continues to monitor the situation and will remove this sign when the hazard dissipates.
