RECIPES:

I did a homemade McDonald’s Day on Sunday and although it was a lot of work, it all tasted great! Thanks to Delish Magazine who did a Copycat Magazine this month!

MCDONALD’S MCNUGGETS – Combine ground chicken, salt and an egg and mix in a food processor or with your hands until into a paste type mixture and then form little nuggets. Coat the chicken nuggets in cornstarch and freeze them for an hour so they are easier to work with and not so sticky. In a bowl mix: flour, egg, onion and garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper and water to make a batter. Then dip your nuggets in the batter, shaking off some of the batter and then fry in vegetable oil on both sides until golden and cooked through. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

MCDONALD’S CHEESEBURGER – Mix dried onion with boiling water to rehydrate your onions. In a bowl mix 80% lean beef with ground sirloin and season with salt. Roll your meat into a ball and put on waxed paper and press down to form a thin patty the size of your bun. On a skillet or blackstone grill cook your burger, adding salt to each side and pressing it down to cook on both sides until brown, add on a slice of orange American cheese. Lightly toast your buns, then put on some ketchup, mustard, your rehydrated onion and use hamburger dill chips and assemble!
