This weekend we camped with our friends Batman Bob, his wife Bobbi and their grandson Gabriel. While we were setting up an old Hooksett friend, Shawn, pulled in and was actually camping a few sites down! Small world and good times!
We made it the first 2 hours of our trip with no rain . . . and then it was a pretty much wet all weekend long! The campground we stayed at was the Salmon Falls River Koa in Lebanon, Maine and the campground itself was nice. They had the river, which the boys took out their new kayaks, they had mini golf, a ropes course, a huge store, which sold pizza, waterslide, pools, jumping bean and playgrounds, arcade and more. The bad parts: we lost power because of the storm, the cable was out (which would have been nice because of all the rain, to watch some golf), and the water table was so high because of all the rain that the bathroom we were next too wouldn't drain when showering and the toilets were overflowing. All the people that were working there were extremely nice and I think if we had better weather the weekend would have been more enjoyable.
Saturday we ventured to Kayla's hometown of Sanford, Maine and hit up Smitty's for a movie, arcades and bowling. Also a run in to Ocean State Job Lots, because it was pouring and nothing better to do, haha! Spent a fortune but were dry for a few hours.
Sunday, more clouds than rain, so we got in a round of mini golf and some more pool and waterslides.
Monday, home to dry out, visit my dad for Father's Day and then I finally saw the sun! It was just in time for me to head to bed, ha ha.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
