IDEAS FOR COOKING –

STEAK AND CHEESE SOUP IN A BREAD BOWL – I bought beef stew meat and tossed in a mixture of flour, Montreal steak seasoning and cooked in oil on each side and then transferred to a crock pot. Add chopped onions and minced Bella mushrooms to the same skillet, add more oil if needed, and then cook until veggies are soft. Once soft add in some beef stock and scrape the bottom of the pan.Add your veggie and broth mixture to the crock pot and set on low and let cook for 8 hours until meat is super tender. For your “broth” In a pot I put more beef stock, Worcestershire, a bag of shredded sharp cheddar, a bag of shredded pepper jack cheese and some half and half and mix until all smooth and melted. Add some black pepper to taste and then add to your crock pot. I cooked up some chopped yellow potatoes and boiled until tender and also added to my soup. Served it all up in a bread bowl with cheddar cheese on top that I broiled until golden.
