This weekend was suppose to be our first camping trip of the season, but after arriving on Friday at 4pm, we soon realized our camper was having an issue. It wasn't "popping up" with the button like normal. Jeff and I then went to manually trying to crank it up and that worked for a bit but then wouldn't go up anymore. Well soon we heard a snap and then the roof came down. The cable had come off the spool and split so now we were stuck with no camper. The great people at Cold Springs were kind enough to let us stay in a cabin for Friday night until we could figure out what to do. We were excited that the kids could at least go for a swim and have fun, but we soon realized that we had nothing! No blankets or pillows, no stove to cook on! Everything was in our camper that we couldn't get into. So off we went back home. Saturday I set up the tent in the back yard, we had friends and family over, we did a fire, s'mores, sparklers and I grilled up all the food that I had bought for the weekend camping trip. Friday may have been rough, but it turned out to be a great weekend. Now we just cross our fingers that the camper will be fixed in time for Memorial Day Weekend!
