Well, this about sums up the start of my vacation, right here!!!
We had a BLAST on the Mt Washington, and thanks to all of you who came out to party with us! These are just a few of my favorite pics that I took with my phone!
Here we are with our iHeartMedia colleagues- Hillary and Anne, who were a great help on the boat!
And then there's the stuff I can't explain -
But that was just the first NIGHT of our vacation! Haha- so here's some of the other stuff I was up to!
Valerie and I hit the Old Ferry Landing in Portsmouth for a couple of Jimmy Juices and some awesome fried clams!
Next day, our "Brew Tour" Stop #69 hit "Barred Souls Brewing Co" in Saco ME! Great spot!
Of course, after that night- I got wiped out by pneumonia/bronchitis - and it pretty much cooled my heels for much of the week. That didn't stop me, however- from at LEAST getting out with the camera for a bit in the mornings!
Started off in New Castle on a foggy morning -

Then it was up to the White Mountains - where I checked out Sugar Hill and a few other spots near MT WASHINGTON

Next day, it was up the coast of Maine to places like Five Islands Harbor in Georgetown, and Arrrowsic!

Five Islands Harbor (above) is one of my favorite places to shoot. And to give you an idea of how much so - Im showing you ONE image from the there. But- I shot about 300. So....there's that....haha
And below is Squirrel Point Light in Arrowsic ME - another beautiful spot (but this one was my first visit).

And for those of you sayin - "Where's Valerie?" - that's a good question! See- I get up to on those roadtrips really early- like 2:50am (even after going out the night before!) and Valerie isn't into THAT early a wake up - so I roll out, get to where I'm going to shoot the sunrise or whatever- and Im usually back around noonish- so we still have the rest of the day. But she gets to do what she wants in the mornings and so do I!
Balance is the key, because to be honest- when Im out with the camera and I get "in the zone" - I lose all track of time. So I have to plan it out and make sure I get what I need out of it, and then get home to do what WE need. Feel me?
So - even though I DID get my ass kicked for a few days during vacation (which ruined some cool plans) - I just made the best of what we had to work with and we still had fun!
Hope you had a good week too-
g
PS - For those asking how Daisy Mae is doing? - She's doing just fine, especially after a long walk! Thank you! Awesome pup!
