Pretty good weekend, right up until Sunday - but more on that later!
It all started Friday afternoon when I picked up my Dad to take him to do some of his errands. Arnie doesn't like folks hovering over him when he does his shopping - or anything else for that matter!! Haha- so - this is what I did while he shopped-
If you have older parents, I think you can apprecciate that.
After that - The 2023 Brew Tour continued and this time we hit River Junction Brewing Company in Sanford ME!
Valerie and I had a great time again with our friends Gary and Lorraine! We just pick a place, go there, have a couple drinks and maybe something to eat, and we shoot the **** for a while! We also hit Corner Point Brewing Co on the way home! Im pretty sure thats our "home base" - haha -
Here's the wife and I at River Junction -
I got up early on Saturday to head out to shoot Cape Porpoise Maine in the fog. I love fog shots, especially along the water. It just adds a cool layer of mystery to any photograph.
Like this one-
A fisherman, headed out into the fog to board his boat. You can't see where it is, but he knows. It's probably the 1000th time he's done this. Going it alone on a day when Mother Nature keeps everything in a veil of white and grey.
On Saturday afternoon - we headed to the Upper Valley to visit my niece Avery, We hit a bar called Dunks in Hanover, ate a a Mexican place- then headed over to one of my favorite spots - The Salt Hill Pub. We had a great night!
The alarm went off at 3am on Sunday so I could head up to Georgetown ME to one of my favorite harbors in the state- Five Islands Harbor - for a sunrise shoot. I woke with a bit of a headache- which isn't all that unusual - but I wasn't going to waste a chance to get out with the camera.
Its such a beautiful place- especially when its empty before the sun comes up -
And I love that colorful yellow house that sits right on the water too -
When I got home - I had a massive headache. Felt like a bad head cold. And given that Roadkill got Covid last week - I figured should take a test just to be safe-
and what do you know?
Apparently Im PREGNANT.
Or- well, I guess I got Covid. Hence my being absent from the show this week. It's the second time I've had it - and it was worse than the first time. Not terrible, mind you, just definitely uncomfortable to the point where the coughing has kept me off the air.
So I'll be on from the home office tomorrow (Wed) and we'll give it a go.
The good thing is? This box somehow made it into the freezer before I had to quarantine.....
Boom!
So I got that going for me...
Which is nice....
