Well it was a busy, but good weekend.
I like having things scheduled for the weekend. But on the other hands, sometimes I like it when NOTHING is scheduled! Haha- This weekend was the former, and not the latter.
Friday night- got to finally get back to seeing the ADAM EZRA GROUP again! It's been way too long- but we caught them at the BLUE OCEAN MUSIC HALL!
Man, I gotta tell ya- they just keep getting better and better, everytime I see them! Great tunes, great playing, and an audience that was digging it all!! I have never seen a more connected community of fans than those that love AEG. They are community minded music lovers who love to help others - as well as appreciate good music. The AEG fanbase is like non other- and I have mad respect for em.
Saturday was spent mostly with my family and visiting my Dad - who's still in the hospital. He just got out of ICU yesterday - and we're still waiting on word as to what docs want to do with him. So - so far so good. Fingers crossed.
Saturday night Valerie and I went to dinner with our friends Tim and Mandy Bechert at GREENLEAF Restaurant in Milford NH! WOW! What a great experience that was! Excellent food and great service! Highly recommend it!
Valerie's pork loin was excellent!
Sunday I did what a lot of you guys did - work in the yard! I FINALLY got rid of the broken and fallen branches in the yard!
And Monday - of course- was BOSTON MARATHON Day! Our son Tyler was running for Tedys Team (which supports stroke and heart disease survivors)!
Valerie, Caitlin, our friend Jolene and Tyler's girlfriend Morgan were along the route at the halfway point waiting to cheer him on!
And this happened-
I'm Greg Kretschmar; Official Umbrella Holder of the Boston Marathon.
(I am available for parties for a nominal fee)
It's pretty cool to see your kid running in such a prestigious race - and Tyler did great!
And here he is crossing the finish line with a time of 3:34. That beat last years time - so that's awesome! At the reception, the ladies got to meet Tedy Bruschi, who's done a lot for stroke awareness through his foundation. Both our daughter Cait and our friend Jolene are both stroke survivors - so we all feel very connected to that cause.
So here it is - Monday night at 9p as I write this, and Im friggin BEAT.
So adios for now kids-
Hope you had a great weekend!
