This is amazing..... Francis Zuber was skiing in Washington when he single handedly saved a snowboarder covered by snow in a tree hole. He got too close to a tree, and he fell into the space under the branches and was upside down.
This happened last month on Mt. Baker in the state of Washington. A skier saw a brightly colored snowboard sticking out of the deep powder.
Watch this video - taken from his Go Pro on his helmet. The dude could have passed right by that snowboard - and the boarder would never have survived - but he didn't.
He went to investigate and found that the snowboarder was buried head first, but still alive. Here he is digging through the snow and saving the man's life. The whole thing was captured on his GoPro. (He dug several feet down with his hands first to get the guy an air hole by his face, then got his shovel.)
Holy crap - I'm sitting here all tense after watching it! I can't even fathom it. Buried alive? Upside down?
F that S.
Totally.
And for those reasons......Im out.
I'll stay a sea level, thank you very much.
