Roadtrip: Acadia National Park, Mt Desert Island ME

I took a solo roadtrip to Acadia two weeks ago, and it's been so busy ever since, I didn't have a chance to put together a few video pieces of what I did. It's not gonna win any video awards- (haha), but you can see some of the stuff I saw while I was there.

Acadia is kind of my "getaway" place. I love it there, and every time I go, I see something new, And even though I've been several times, there is still so much I haven't seen. Doing it alone gives me a chance to do what I want, when I want, and more importantly- it gives me a chance to get away from the noise of life and breathe. And before you ask - let me say - Valerie supports it 100%. I'm a guy that needs that time to recharge and photography is the way I do it. She's always welcome to join me and I would love that- but she knows that I'm going to want to shoot all the time, so she gladly stays home. (Yeah, I married the right woman for me, for sure!!! haha)

So anyway- here's a little look at some of the stuff I saw while I was there....

I can not recommend visiting this park enough. The coastline is unmatched in New England, and the forest and trails are amazing. I would suggest that you try not to go at peak times because it can get pretty crowded.

I recommend the Schoodic Peninsula in Winter Harbor (about an hour way from Bar Harbor)- its way less crowded- and the coastline is stunning. Notheast Harbor, Sommesville, Southwest Harbor and Stonington are also beautiful.

If you have questions or are looking for suggestions - hit me up and I'll do my best to answer ya. (greg@morningbuzz.com )
