I never realized how much planning and organizing you have to go through if one of your family members is running in the Boston Marathon.
Our son Tyler is running, and the weekend was all about making plans on where to be, and by what time, and how to get there. Sounds simple, right?
Well as a first time Marathon supporter- I can tell you, it isn't. Road closures, MBTA changes, and a million places to watch from, plus friends and familiy going- all have to be navigated- and that was our weekend.
On Sunday- we went into Wellesley MA to check out the area of the Marathon halfway point. And from there, we had to decide- to take the T in to Boston, or drive. Well, we drove.
I shot this from in the car on Sunday. Anyway- we're ready to go and we roll out early on Monday morning to cheer on our son. I m not sure who's more nervous, him - or me! Haha -
Had a great time Saturday night at ENCORE Casino in Boston - with a luxury busload of Lend a Helping Can folks who donated for a spot on the trip!
Although Im not much of a gambler.....I laid some bets down....
And lets just say-- I was up for a while.....until I wasn't. And lets leave it at that!
I've got more pics and videos I'll add later in the week about that night - hahah....it was pretty fun!
Sunday afternoon - after coming home from Boston (again) - it was time for the Celts...
And if you thought Kyrie was pretty generous with flipping fans off during the game, check out this moment from after it.... (caution: language!)
Ouch.
And for the record? That fan is an asshole too.
Got out on Saturday morning and got to see this -

(You know I couldn't go without photographing at least one!)
More to come from the trip to Encore- AND stuff from the Marathon- but I gotta hit the sack. Im really pumped to be out there and see it!
Hope you had a good weekend!
