The week in Covid isolation kinda sucked. Isolation does that, I guess. But - overall, I got off easy. Still, when my 5 days were up (Isolation ends after 5 days, and since I didn't have symptoms for the last few days, I could go out as long as I masked up. At least I'm pretty sure those are the guidelines!) I was chomping/champing at the bit to get out of the house!
I will say - Roadkill always talks about all the tv you can watch if you're in isolation. I didn't watch a ton. I guess I'd much rather be doing something someplace (and no - that doesn't mean house projects, Laura!! haha).
The one show I did watch an entire season of was Showtime's YELLOWJACKETS...
It's pretty messed up, but it's good. It's what you get if the movies ALIVE met LORD OF THE FLIES. A high school girls soccer team flying to a national tournament, crashes in the wilderness - and that's when the crazy shit begins. It's a mix of flashbacks and present day storylines- but it's pretty good. What sucks is - now I have to wait almost a year for the next season.
That's why I love LIMITED SERIES more. You have a finite beginning and end. No waiting around a year or two for the rest of the story!
One cool thing about it though- as I'm watching - I notice that one of the girls is sporting a COED NAKED T shirt!!! They're a NH company that was based in Newfields and were hugely popular back in the 90s! My buddy Scott MacHardy was one of the founders of the company and we did a lot of work with them!! (I'm pretty sure we were the first radio station they ever did custom t shirts for! COED NAKE RADIO - for the show I was doing at the time with partner Courtney!) Good times!
Chilled and watched the Olympics on Saturday night. Snowboarding was cool, and figure skating is insane. The best skater in the world is 15 years old? What the ****!!!??
Oh, and about the Olympics- do you think it's possible to give Olympic Curling MORE coverage? Ugh! Enough already! Holy crap! Look - ok, it's cool - but there's like 75 other sports to cover, NBC! Spread the love would ya?
Sunday I took a roadtrip (social distancing at its best!!! haha) up to Sugar Hill, Mt Washington, and all over the White Mountains! It felt so good to be outside, and after a cold start -
It turned into a gorgeous day!
