Heres the story:
Over the weekend, at Adam Ezra Groups festival show called "The Ramble" - which raises money to help put homeless veterans into safe and dignified housing, I meet 14 year old Gabi. Valerie and I were there to help do a segment for the live stream, and we met Gabi because the cookies she baked won the bake off they had at the festival. In talking to her, she told me how she loves to bake and sells what she makes. And the best part? Every penny of profit goes to charities. She has a business called "Gabi's Goodies for Good" that she runs with her Mom. To date she's raised over $9000 for local causes. That's an impressive thing.
And check this- SHE'S AN AMAZING BAKER!!! Her cookies and brownies are delicious! So - in talking to her I found out she's a big fan of folks like Chef Robert Irvine and Cake Boss Buddy Valestro. What she didn't know was that Chef Irvine was coming into our studio on Monday, so I asked if she'd like to meet him.
Heres a video of him sitting down with Gabi during a commercial break in our show- and Robert shows a kindness to her that is just incredible. Watch him make Gabi (and my) day....
Robert Irvine is a class act.
Thank you Chef, for all the positive things you put out into the world.
And Thank you Gabi, for doing the exact same thing. The world needs more people like the two of you - g
*It made my day......
