It was a non stop weekend!
Of course, it kicked off with WINNING THE GRANITE CHEF COMPETITION!!!!
Congrats goes to my sous chef, and grilling mastermind PAUL ROBINSON for his Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin with Maple/Chipotle Rub!
(For the recipe, check others posts on my page)
Friday night Valerie and I headed down to see the Eagles- and had dinner in Boston's North End- and it was a beautiful night! It was also the Feast of St Anthony in the North End, so we got to see the parade, and walk through all the booths and stuff too. Really cool to see all different ages of folks celebrate their heritage!
Grabbed some wood fired pizza down in the North End too -
Clearly, you can see below - how much my wife digs me....
Cant even take her eyes of me!!!! haha
The Eagles put on a stellar 3 1/2 hr show at the Garden that covered every single Eagles hit, plus some solo stuff by Henley and Walsh.
And as for checking our vaccination cards? They never even looked - I just held mine up as we walked in -and kept on going.
Regardless- the show was incredible. My only thing was- would it friggin KILL Don Henley to smile? Seriously, bro - you gotta lighten up!!
Spent Saturday at Sig Sauer with Roadkill for their Summer Fest! Met tons of great folks and checked some cool firearms. In addition - met some NH State Troopers as well -
Here we are with NHSP Troopers Stone and Kopko! Always a pleasure to meet those who serve in law enforcement!
Then it was off to Ashburnham MA - (who knew it was 2 hours away???) - to help my buddy ADAM EZRA and The Adam Ezra Group, in their benefit fesitval called "The Ramble"! The Ramble raises money to help put our homeless veterans into safe and dignified housing! Valerie and I helped cook dinner, and those watching the streamed event at home got to cook along with Adam, Valerie and I -
Of course -this is how it started - (photo by Stuart Berg)
And I don't know why....but I don't know if Valerie even knew i was there!! haha
Valerie's Famous Coffee Burgers, served up with a raw broccoli, cashew and cranraisin salad!
The goal for Sunday was- get up at 1:30a and head to Mt Washington and photograph the sunrise, but the mountain was covered in clouds and rain - so I slept it. Sucks. I was really looking forward to it.
It was ok though- allergies were kicking my ass - so we hung in after doing a little shopping-
Hope you guys had a good weekend-
