Well, as much as I love vacation, I also love getting back at it in the studio - so it's nice to be with you all again!!
Had a very cool week of doing different things - and even though we ended with a hurricane, I got no complaints!
Here's some pics from the travels -
Started off with a little tour of some local farms to get some fresh fruit and produce! LOVE supporting our local farmers -
Grabbed some blueberries and peaches from Butternut Farm
and some veggies from Parsells Farm - and while I was standing there I noticed this-
Weird, maybe- but I wish I had my real camera with me that day!
I DID, however, have it the next morning up in Cape Porpoise ME for a pretty cool sunrise -

Love that place. Such a cool little fishing village - and it's always incredibly peaceful.
Hit the lake with the Mrs -
And then - headed down to Salem MA for the first time in my life. Valerie is kind of fascinated by the history of Salem Witch Trials - so we went down, walked all over, took a tour and grabbed dinner as well. The story of the witch trials is an incredible and disturbing one - for sure.
Brigette Bishop was the first to die in the Salem Witch Trials - and by the time it was over, more than 20 people were killed- all because a few teenage girls made up a story about being posessed by another towner, trying to get out of trouble for something they did. And once people saw what making accusations like that could do - it became a way to remove competing landowners, or misfits and outcasts from the town. (I don't by the story about the rye bread chemical that came out a while back. Sounds like bullshit to me.)
Then we headed out to Vinalhaven Island of the coast of Rockland Maine for a few days of hiking, relaxing and yes- a little photography. It's a beautiful place and when it rained- we improvised-
We had our morning coffee while watching the lobster boats head out - and then headed for some hiking.
Heres the view from the top of "Tip Toe Mountain" - which is actually more of a hill than a mountain. Still- it's gorgeous -
Cool thing is - you can find a million place on an island like that where you can just post up and chill - and have the whole place to yourself. The above pic was on Geary's Beach.
And you never know who you might find on Vinalhaven either....
Pretty sure thats Larry David, waiting for a sandwich at Greets Eats - right next to the Ferry terminal on Vinalhaven.
I left him alone and didn't ask. So I don't know if it really was him - but it LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE HIM! haha-
Great week, but it's good to be back -
