It was a pretty good weekend!!!!
But here's what I came away from it with: Saturday night Valerie and I were planning on going out to eat with our friends- you know, feel normal! Problem is - we wanted to go somewhere nice, that we hadn't been to for take out in the last year. That means - reservations. And there wasn't a single table anywhere we tried.
So what did we do? WE IMPROVISED! What do you do when you don't have anything planned, and you need to do last minute for a meal? Simple - BREAKFAST FOR DINNER!
No need to bust out the dinnerware- just grab some paper plates and hit it, Chewy! (But notice- we don't skimp on syrup! NH made syrup from BEN'S SUGAR SHACK in Temple NH!)
Also got out to do some shooting -
And while I was searching for some of our national bird to show up (they didn't) - at least I met this guy...
Also got out Saturday morning and headed up to Meredith and Laconia - and happen to pass by this -
That's the kind of thing that grabs my eye: an old house, a bold sky, and the light of the early morning sun. I've pulled over for this kind of shot on roads all over New England, in any season.
It's totally worth it.
Have I ever told you how much I hate RAKING?
It f***ing SUCKS. I don't mind working in the yard at all- I just hate raking. On the other hand - I cant stand seeing the lawn all matted down and covered with sticks and crap from the winter. So that's the rub, ain't it?
Hate doing it, but hate what it looks like if I don't. It's part of the never ending ball breaking that is being a homeowner.
Sunday morning, I met these two maniacs for breakfast. They're all immunized and stuff so they can finally venture out of the house (but they're still careful, mind you), so we had a nice long face to face sit down.
Damn, it's amazing how great it feels to do something normal, right?
And last but not least- Im offering you this: If you have Amazon Prime, and you like shows/movies that are edgy AND funny - meet WAYNE.
It's like Deadpool meets Dirty Harry, meets Sixteen Candles- and it's AWESOME. Our buddy Mike O'Malley is hilarious as the principal of a run down high school, and the guy who plays "Mayhem" in the Allstate commercials is wicked funny too! Great cast- and each ep is only 30 minutes- so you can knock out a few at a time. Trust me!
And there's my weekend - hope yours was good!
