I knew of Billie Eilish, and heard a couple of her tunes before- but I didn't know her story. Regardless- I watched the documentary "The Worlds a Little Blurry" (I saw it on Apple+) - and it was excellent.
She was a 17 yr old kid who recorded her album in her bedroom with her brother, and that record went on to win 4 Grammy's including Best Album, and Best New Artist. All the while - she was struggling with being a teenager in this day and age - where one comment on the internet can send you into a tailspin.
The concert footage is really good, and her fan base are fanatical (mostly young girls).
And there's a scene at an Ariana Grande concert she's watching from near the front of the stage (in front of the barriers), when Justin Bieber - her teenage celebrity crush - met for the first time - this is just awesome. It's a tender moment that played out in front of a hundred cell phones that were recording IT- instead of watching Ariana Grande.
Anyway - I know it's not rock and roll - but the girl does what she wants, and expresses very personal stuff in her songs. She blazed her on trail, and THAT is rock and roll.
If you are a fan of music, and musicians- this is worth the watch.
