Fred Bird has been a part of the Lend a Helping Can Radio Auction for the past several years, because he always puts together great packages centered around hunting, specifically turkey hunting! Fred is a very cool guy who's very passionate about responsible turkey hunting, and outdoorsmanship in general. Laura, Roadkill and myself have all taken the turkey hunting safety course and have all gone out with listeners. Fred made all of that happen, and helped us raise a lot of money to help feed folks. A few weeks back - he asked me if I would be a guest on his turkey hunting podcast called Rolling Thunder, to talk about my experience on my first turkey hunt.
As a supporter of hunting, wildlife management, and the folks at the National Wild Turkey Federation and the NH Department of Fish and Game- l was glad to do it.
