I've covered a lot of miles in the last 30 days.
A LOT.
And I've loved it. Here's some of the places and moments I saw -
First- up in Crawford Notch NH, stopped at Wiley Brook for this -
Great color on a late Friday afternoon. I bolted the station at 10am - and hit the Whites for the afternoon. Gorgeous day.
This one is from Stowe Vermont. I love NH, Maine, and Massachusettes in autumn, but I just don't think you can beat Vermont at peak season. It's beauty is unmatched.
Then there was a farmhouse I drove past in Lee/Nottingham NH -
And I had an encounter with an old man walking on a path in Portsmouth. He never made a sound and he never spoke. He caught me by surprise as he came up behind me. I stepped out of his way and said "Excuse me, Sir" - and he glided past me, and just kept going. I watched him as he disappeared. He was every old man. He was my Dad. And someday, he'll be me. I snapped this shot just before he disappeared -
And last but not least - I took in a sunrise on Cape Neddick at Nubble Light. And an hour or so before the sunrise, I got this one-
