So, like millions of other people, this dude in Hong Kong goes out to see Avengers Endgame this weekend at the theater, and then promptly walks out to the crowd waiting to see the next show - and yells out the ending. The crowd, incensed - proceeds to pummel the guy.
What do you think?
Here's what I think: While I agree that violence isn't the answer - in MOST instances, I have to be honest and tell you that I think this guy totally had it coming. He knew it was a highly guarded secret that many people were looking forward to seeing the movie to find out what it was. This guy - put his need to be a friggin wiseass funnyguy - in front anyone elses wish to simply see and enjoy a movie without having the ending spoiled.
Especially - a movie with a secret so highly touted- that the producers sent out letters BEGGING fans not to reveal it.
I'm tired of assholes like this doing stuff like this without any consequences whatsoever. Matter of fact, I'm tired of assholes in general. They're everywhere! And while my first inclination is to deny them the attention they are begging for - by just walking away - my fantasy is always to issue the beatdown they so richly deserve. And that's why - when someone else steps up and actually does what I only dream to do - I find a bit of joy in it.
So - am I endorsing violence in all cases? No.
Did this guy deserve to be punched in the friggin face? Yes.
He certainly did. And any movie loving judge in the world will back me on this. Right? Hahah...
