Netflix has started to test showing promotional videos for their own shows while users are watching. The promotional videos can last 10 to 20 seconds and usually play between episodes on the Netflix service. They are geared to bring awareness to the different types of shows the service has to offer.
Some customers aren’t happy about it at all and see them as commercials.
Netflix spokeswoman Smita Saran responded, “These video promos are actually personalized recommendations for titles we think a member may enjoy watching.”
