All That Remains guitarist Oli Herbert

All That Remains guitarist, Oli Herbert, has passed away. 

According to TMZ, Herbert, 44, was found dead in a pond near his home in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Police discovered his body following a search of the area after someone reported him missing. And while cops say that the death "does not appear to be suspicious," an autopsy is being performed by the Connecticut medical examiner to confirm the cause and manner of death.

Oli was a founding member and the lead guitarist for rock band All That Remains. The band confirmed his death on their official Facebook page, and in the message to fans, accompanied by a photo of Oli, the band wrote:

"We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away.

Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.

No further details are available at this time. The band and family request that you please respect their privacy and remember Oli by celebrating the great music he made."

All That Remains was founded 20 years ago in 1998 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Over the years, the band has released eight full-length studio albums, with their ninth album, Victim of the New Disease set to be released on November 9th. The new album featured lead single "F*** love," as well as "Everything's Wrong" and "Wasteland."

The band's lead singer and founding member Phil Labonte has reacted to the sad news, sharing a black and white photo of Oli on his Instagram account, along with the caption, "F*** today."
