My Weekend: UNH & Bruins Hockey, an Incredible Sunrise & More

Busy weekend, folks.

We started off Friday night by heading out to the UNH-VERMONT hockey game. Hadn't been to the Whitt in a while and it was great to be back! The crowd was light - but that was because it was Halloween night - and a lot of students were busy partying (haha- imagine that!). Other than that- Im guessing trick or treat got delayed till Friday in most towns so lots of folks must have stayed home for that.

We didn't. Sorry kids! hahah

What we did do is grab some awesome wings at The Thirsty Moose in Dover beforehand though! Awesome wings!

Here's a pic from the start of the game -

And I did get to pop in on our colleague Justin McIsaac and Mike Murphy who were doing the game for the Wildcat Radio Network!

Saturday morning I got out to take advantage the last "late" sunrise before the clock change. The most promising light - according the photo apps I use (The Photographers Ephemeris, Alpenglow, and Windy) - was going to be up in Portland -so I headed to Portland Head Light.

And those apps were right- check it out -

It was incredible- one of the most beautiful sunrises I've seen in a while - and it makes getting up early totally worth it.

Did the shoot, headed home, changed clothes and headed to Boston to catch the1pm Bruins-Hurricane's game with Tyler and my buddy Gary. We get there, only to find out Tylers best friend Drew is a few suites down from us at the Garden with Kara (his girlfriend)!

Too funny! And when we get back to our suite, who's there but former UNH hockey star, and former Boston Bruin, Mark Mowers! Mark is a really cool dude and we had a great time catching up, and talking hockey. Very good guy!

Bruins got the win - which was great with the win streak they got goin, and we headed home. We hit the local ramen restaurant - Ichi Ramen -

Got the Bimibap (i know I spelled that wrong!) - which is a chicken and rice dish filled with vegetables- and it was perfect for a fall night! And that was it- I was toast. Tried to watch the world series but fell asleep in the 8th. Damn. Great ending. Wish I saw it. F***!

Sunday- I met this guy for breakfast-

Im giving the "5" here because you and I both know that that lawn is going to stay leaveless for about 5 FRIGGIN MINUTES before it needs to be done again. Regardless - it's what we do here in New England- right?

Then did a little chillin' with Daisy- before heading over to watch the Pats game at our son Tyler's place.

I know it looks like I ate my way thru the weekend, but it's just because those are the pics I took.

I left out the pics of the whiskey, chili, and the wings. hahah

Hope you had a good weekend-
