Well well well, now THAT'S more like it! A THREE DAY WEEKEND!!! BOO-YAH!
Seriously. Every weekend should be a 3 day weekend.
It was a big weekend for us because it was our daugther Cait's 30th birthday. We spent Friday night kind of prepping the house (well, the garage, actually) for a party with a lot of Cait's friends. That meant - the entire garage had to be cleaned! Ha! It was all good to go, though- complete with a keg! IT WAS A KEGGER AT KRETCHY'S HOUSE!
Once that thing got cracked open, I got the G-MONEY solo cup!
And to answer the question- the keg was Miller Lite. (Hey- don't look at me, I didn't choose it!). The thinking was it was easier to drink that in keg form, and not get too messed up. Made sense, I guess. Heck of a party, though!
And check it - look who showed up!
Kayla and Cass showed up at the compound and ripped it up with us!
And let me tell you - when it was all over (early Sunday morning - haha) - I had to make sure the guest of honor got safely returned to the place of purchase! And Im all about safety in the car!
#SafetyFirst
I did get to go out early Saturday to do a little shooting. I took in the early morning surf at Plum Island, and then grabbed some pics of an eagle doing some construction on his nest!
Heres what I was shooting, and i was working on keeping the shutter open longer to show water movement...
When I shoot moving water, I always "drag the shutter" (leave it open longer than stop action) because I love the feel of motion in an image.
And here's a couple of the baldie pics -
In the first, the male is returning to the nest to do some reconstruction. They're just about to begin nesting season - and that means one of the pair will always be in or very close to the nest until the babies are born. Look at this guy comin in hot with some lumber for the place...
So he puts it in place- and he's off again to get more -
The weekend also marked my parents 57th (HOLY S***!) wedding anniversary so Valerie and I had dinner with them on Sunday night at Governors Inn in Rochester. Great meal!
Look at em! The Arnie & Connie Travelling Road Show! Coming to a town near you this summer! haha -
Hit the road on Monday up to Freeport to LL Bean. Needed some ammo!!!
Nah, not really. I buy it locally. Haha- but we did a little shopping and then headed back to Portland and hit a bar for a little lunch at the Porthole! (pssst! GREAT fried clams!). Cool vibe! I've been there in the summer, out on the deck - but the bar was pretty cool too!
And so here we are again - getting ready to hit the sack before the show in the morning!
So maybe I'll see ya then? Hope so!
Hope you had a good weekend!
