Well that was a much needed weekend of nothing but family and friends. Hope you all had a good weekend, or at least some time off during the 4 days.
I started Thanksgiving Day by heading out to shoot the sunrise at Rye Harbor -
It was a pretty nice morning!
And my buddy Scott got a shot of me....well, "getting the shot"
Yeah, I know. Looks stupid. And maybe it is. But sometimes that what you do to get something special.
And for the record- the shot I got here- is NOT special. Kinda sucked. But I was in there swinging!
We had Thanksgiving first at our house - and even though we were supposed to have other family members over- the damn flu shot that down. So - we had turkey dinner for just Valerie and I, with Cait and Tyler. And you know what? It was pretty damn nice, if I must say so. Sometimes, just us and the kids- is perfect.
But immediately following that we were off to Maine for what we and our friends call "Campsgiving". Our families go up to a camp in Maine with Dave and Jolene's family - and it's a weekend we look forward to all year -
We spent Friday and part of Saturday out in the snow - just relaxing and having fun.
Oh, and we stacked a cord of wood in record time. Man, that s*** just flies when you got 8 people doing it!
And the day long bonfire was pretty sweet as well. It goes perfect with AUTUMN BUZZ BEER!!! hahah - Yeah, I know it's sold out, but I was smart and bought a case!
And you know what the best thing about camp is?
The camp coffee in the morning....
But I'll tell ya - any weekend I can spend with these folks- its a win in my book.
It doesnt get any better-
Hope you had a good weekend too -
