Got up early Saturday morning with a few other photographer friends and headed out to Newcastle Commons to catch the sunrise. All summer long, every time I got up to shoot a 'rise, there wasn't a cloud in sight, and clouds are what make a sunrise (in my opinion). Here's a few from that shoot, and more....

Begin the Day. Newcastle, NH. You don't get to see 'rises like this one very often, but if you're lucky enough- it's an amazing thing to watch. It's very quiet and quick, and it's over in a matter of minutes. A truly beautiful way to start the day. (That's Whaleback Lighthouse).

Going To Work. Newcastle NH. As I watched this fisherman head off to sea, to work, I wondered if he realized the scene he was driving through, and a part of? Did he look at the sky, and sun - and consider himself lucky to be seeing such a beautiful thing? I know I did.

Abandoned Spirits. Newcastle NH. I shot this in an abandoned weapons depot. Long ago abandoned - you had to wonder if their spritis still inhabited the place....

Uncommon Commons. Newcastle NH. Same morning, taken a few moments after the sun crested the horizon at the Newecastle Commons. Beautiful place no matter what time of day.

Hope you like em - and if you'd like to see more of what I shoot, check out my photo site-  .
